Overview

Lavon, Texas is within the south eastern portion of Collin County, Texas. This fast growing community is located in a critical area between two large DFW Metroplex water reservoirs. These reservoirs (Lavon Lake and Lake Ray Hubbard) serve major portions of the fast growing Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex (DFW).  This DFW Council of Government Region has exceeded 7.9 million residents.  Lavon is within the eastern portions of the DFW Metroplex.  Lavon is at the eastern gateway of Dallas. The population of Lavon now exceeds 5,000 residents.

DFW highway plus rail transportation, to and from the eastern areas of Texas, must pass through the Lavon area on the way to Dallas. Lavon has a strategic business location for development.

The City Council of Lavon formed the Lavon Economic Development Corporation (LEDC) to assist and guide the Council on matters of new investment for Lavon. The directors of the LEDC serve at the pleasure of the City Council. With their charge to advise and consult the City Council, the LEDC has provided the information contained in this web site to encourage investors and developers to examine the opportunities available within the Lavon area.
