Kay Wright has been a resident of Lavon, TX since 2001. Kay became a board member of the Lavon EDC in March 2009 and has served as board president since September 2012. Her husband of over 30 years, Danny and she moved to Lavon to enjoy a little bit of the country feel but to remain close to all that DFW has to offer. “We love our home on one acre in one of Lavon’s wonderful subdivisions.” said Kay. She has been in the building materials business since 1981 and is currently employed at a door and window distributor in Dallas. To relax, Kay enjoys watching drag racing all over Texas with her husband and sailing out of Galveston on cruises. She is also involved with rescuing Ragdoll cats.

Manzelle and his wife Lekesh are proud to be residents of Lavon. They have enjoyed meeting everone in their neighborhood and so enjoy the wonderful city.  Manzelle is employed with NTT Data and with his computer information systems background wants to assist the Lavon EDC attract higher technologies and promote development of advanced science and engineering systems as a job creating activity for Lavon  business.

Vicki Sanson moved to Lavon in 2001 and has loved living here with her husband of 29 years and their two daughters.  Vicki has been a substitute teacher for the area school district for 20 years and has thoroughly enjoyed getting to know the kids and their families.  Vicki started serving the City of Lavon when she became a Planning and Zoning Commissioner in 2014, a City Council member in 2016, a Lavon Economic Development Corporation Board Director in 2017, and then had the honor of becoming the Mayor in 2018.  She loves her one acre lot in a peaceful neighborhood in this wonderful city called Lavon.  Vicki said, “I look forward to helping build the economy for Lavon and bringing new jobs to the community!”

Rachel Dumas (Place 4)

Rachel Dumas moved to Lavon in June 2017, along with her husband of 14 years and daughter. Rachel has worked in International Trade compliance for 21 years and is a Licensed Customs Broker. She currently works for Solvay, a Belgian based company, in Export Compliance under the ITAR and EAR. She has served on the board of several trade industry groups over the years and mentored people that are new to international trade law. She has been active in her daughter’s school and school district, working in several voluntary positions over the years. She loves to spend time with friends and family, attend Church, travel, read, and do arts and crafts in her spare time. She loves living in Lavon and her neighborhood and looks forward to bringing in new businesses and jobs to service our wonderful community.

Joe Serpette  and his family moved to Lavon, in 2018, to enjoy the great family atmosphere. He and his wife and 6 kids enjoy the parks and trails of Lavon.  Joe also is President of the Grand Heritage Homeowners Association and is a board director on the City of Lavon Parks and Recreation Board and the Lavon Economic Development Corporation.  He loves this community and this City and is proud to do his part to make the City better.

Clinton Mclure has recently moved to Lavon.  He and his family enjoy meeting residents of the community and participating in community events.

Jordan Williams is the owner of L&D Automotive in Lavon.  He has lived in Lavon for 18 years.  As a small business owner Jordan wants to see Lavon develop and serve the community.
