John Kell (Place 6)
Lavon EDC Director & Treasurer
John Kell has been a resident of Collin County area since 2015,and
has just recently moved to Lavon. John retired from the U.S. Army,
in 2014, after serving over 20 years. He served with multiple tours
to Iraq, and one tour to Afghanistan. While deployed in combat, John
also took part in the planning and rebuilding of several towns in Iraq
and Afghanistan. John now continues to serve by teaching JROTC
in the Plano Independent School District. After many years of moving
around with the Military, John and his family have chosen to make
Lavon their forever home. Right away, John has decided to serve
his new community by serving where there is a need, and that was
by serving on the Lavon EDC board. Another board that John
volunteers his time for is the Phased-In Advisory board, which
helps emancipated foster youth with their future after their lives
in foster care. With over 20 years of senior management and
leadership experience in the Military, and a reputation for meeting
the most challenging organizational goals and objectives, John
makes seemingly impossible situations work.
