Kay Wright (Place 1)
Lavon EDC President & Director 


Kay Wright has been a resident of Lavon, TX since 2001. Kay became

a board member of the Lavon EDC in March 2009 and has served

as board president since September 2012. Her husband of over 30 years,

Danny and she moved to Lavon to enjoy a little bit of the country feel but

to remain close to all that DFW has to offer. “We love our home on one

acre in one of Lavon’s wonderful subdivisions.” said Kay. She has been

in the building materials business since 1981 and is currently

employed at a hardwood lumber/molding plant in McKinney. To relax,

Kay enjoys watching drag racing all over Texas with her husband and

sailing out of Galveston on cruises. She is also involved with rescuing

Ragdoll cats.



 Manzell Williams (Place 2)

Manzelle and his wife Lekesh are proud to be residents of Lavon. 

They have enjoyed meeting everone in their neighborhood and so

enjoy the wonderful city.  Manzelle is employed with NTT Data and

with his computer information systems background wants to assist

the Lavon EDC attract higher technologies and promote development

of advanced science and engineering systems as a job creating activity

for Lavon  business.




Vicki Sanson (Place 3)

Vicki and her husband and children have lived in Lavon 17 years. 

She has been married 26 years and is the mother of two lovely girls. 

Vicki Sanson has served on the Lavon City Council since February 2016. 

Vicki Sanson is the Mayor of Lavon, a member of the Planning and Zoning

Commission for Lavon since 2014, as well as a Director of the Lavon

Ecconomic Development Corporation since October 2017.  Vicki said,

"I enjoy helping to build the economy for Lavon and bring new jobs to

the community!"


Rachel Dumas (Place 4)
Lavon EDC Director & Public Information Officer

Rachel Dumas moved to Lavon in June 2017, along with her husband

of 12 years and daughter. Rachel has worked in International Trade

compliance for 20 years and is a Licensed Customs Broker. She

currently works for Solvay, a Belgian based company, in Export

Compliance under the ITAR and EAR. She has served on the board

of several trade industry groups over the years and mentored

people that are new to international trade law. She has been

active in her daughter’s school and school district, working in

several voluntary positions over the years. She loves to spend

time with friends and family, attend Church, travel, read, and do

arts and crafts in her spare time. She loves living in Lavon and

her neighborhood and looks forward to bringing in new

businesses and jobs to service our wonderful community.

John Kell (Place 6)
Lavon EDC Director & Treasurer

 John Kell has been a resident of Collin County area since 2015,and

has just recently moved to Lavon.  John retired from the U.S. Army,

in 2014,  after serving over 20 years.  He served with multiple tours

to Iraq, and one tour to Afghanistan.  While deployed in combat, John

also took part in the planning and rebuilding of several towns in Iraq

and Afghanistan.  John now continues to serve by teaching JROTC

in the Plano Independent School District.  After many years of moving

around with the Military, John and his family have chosen to make

Lavon their forever home.  Right away, John has decided to serve

his new community by serving where there is a need, and that was

by serving on the Lavon EDC board.  Another board that John

volunteers his time for is the Phased-In Advisory board, which

helps emancipated foster youth with their future after their lives

in foster care.  With over 20 years of senior management and

leadership experience in the Military, and a reputation for meeting

the most challenging organizational goals and objectives, John

makes seemingly impossible situations work.
