Kay Wright has been a resident of Lavon, TX since 2001. Kay became a board member of the Lavon EDC in March 2009 and has served as board president since September 2012. Her husband of over 30 years, Danny and she moved to Lavon to enjoy a little bit of the country feel but to remain close to all that DFW has to offer. “We love our home on one acre in one of Lavon’s wonderful subdivisions.” said Kay. She has been in the building materials business since 1981 and is currently employed at a hardwood lumber/molding plant in McKinney. To relax, Kay enjoys watching drag racing all over Texas with her husband and sailing out of Galveston on cruises. She is also involved with rescuing Ragdoll cats.



Chris Kane

Chris Kane moved to Lavon in 2005 with his wife Pam, and two sons Jackson and Cooper. Chris is a member of the LEDC Board of Directors, President of the Community Athletic Booster Club; he serves on several boards and volunteers for the Community Independent School District, and is a Committe Chair with Crew 2014 of the Boy Scouts of America.  Chris's wife Pam has been a teacher with Community Independent School District where both of their sons attend.  He works for a large technology company, where he has held many roles over the past 15 years.

Chris is focused on helping to support the development of Lavon to build a better city for ourselves and children in the future.  He has particular focus on building the employment base within the city as well as finding ways to bring more services to the community through private enterprise.  Chris holds a Masters Degree from University of North Texas in Applied Economics and an undergraduate degree from the University of Central Florida.

Jimmie Catravas has lived in Lavon since 2009 with his wife Lisa and son Aiden. Jimmie has been in the IT industry since 2002 having his first job at the age of 16 as an Assistant Network Administrator. Jimmie has managed various IT companies over the past 14 years and started his own company in 2012. Jimmie has a passion for Small Business IT with a focus on business continuity.

David Piekarski

David Piekarski has been a resident of the Lavon area since 1999 and has served on the EDC Board of Directors since March of 2008. David started in the IT field while still attending Southern Methodist University in 1981. He has continued working in IT positions in industries including oil and gas, pharmaceutical, banking, marketing services, telecommunications services, and information security. David has worked for McAfee, an Intel Company for over two yeas as the Senior Manager for Global Telecommunications. David is a past president of the EDC Board of Directors and currently serves as a board member. David is passionate about creating a dynamic economic environment for Lavon and the surrounding community with the goal of enhancing the quality of life of our citizens and creating opportunities for our businesses to thrive.



John Kell

John Kell has been a resident of Collin County area since 2015,and has just recently moved to Lavon.  John retired from the U.S. Army, in 2014,  after serving over 20 years.  He served with multiple tours to Iraq, and one tour to Afghanistan.  While deployed in combat, John also took part in the planning and rebuilding of several towns in Iraq and Afghanistan.  John now continues to serve by teaching JROTC in the Plano Independent School District.  After many years of moving around with the Military, John and his family have chosen to make Lavon their forever home.  Right away, John has decided to serve his new community by serving where there is a need, and that was by serving on the Lavon EDC board.  Another board that John volunteers his time for is the Phased-In Advisory board, which helps emancipated foster youth with their future after their lives in foster care.  With over 20 years of senior management and leadership experience in the Military, and a reputation for meeting the most challenging organizational goals and objectives, John makes seemingly impossible situations work.
